Larry
& Gloria Owens (Georgia and Alabama) started
in the dog fancy in the mid 70's. Both show their
own dogs and have had many group placements and
specialty wins on both their English Setters, and Basenjis.

CH Windjammer Sylvest'R Stalone won Sporting Group
1 the first time that Gloria or "Rocky"
ever entered the Group ring. The second day,
he won a Sporting Group 3. He went on to
be ranked in the top 10 ES in the country.

generations of Champions bearing the Windjammer
Kennel name are in most of the pedigrees of
their dogs. They have also
been successful at breeding and finishing Basenjis,
Irish Setters and German Wire Haired Pointers. Gloria & Larry
have finished 40 Champions to date, usually
breeder/owner handled.
Michael
Owens is a big part of their success also. He
is the stability "at home" and makes
certain that everyone gets their fair share of
